I’m Victoria. Sydney, Northern Beaches mum of 1 gorgeous (yet sometimes sassy and fiercely independent) daughter. I have a degree in Early Childhood Teaching and a degree in Interior Architecture.
My love for Early Childhood Education evolved after volunteering back when I was in university studying Interior Architecture. Funnily enough, I began my Certificate III studies as a back up to my dream of being a residential interior designer.
Continuing my studies in Early Childhood and Interior Design, I majored in Childcare Design and wrote my thesis on “How Colour Affects the Psychology of Children in Learning Environments.”
Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water. Through an active, reciprocal exchange, teaching can strengthen learning and how to learn.
We value space, to create a handsome environment and its potential to inspire social, affective and cognition learning. The space is an aquarium that mirrors the ideas and values of the people who live in it.
To provide ECE services with the best outcomes possible to ensure their service meets a high quality of care and education. To ensure that the rights of the child are always first and foremost and best practice is embedded in their service.
Now as a qualified Interior Designer and Early Childhood Teacher, my love for these two areas of expertise has led to a 20 year lifespan in my career; mainly in Operations Management where my role was predominantly engaging in new start-up ECE projects, operational and multi-site management. Now the natural transition to create a consultancy agency that combines these roles was a no brainer; hence the creation of The ECE Agency.
Specialising in new business start up and design and build services, interior fit outs, compliance, business development, marketing strategies and overall operational requirements and needs of running an early learning centre/ childcare business; I am excited to have the opportunity to meet and connect with inspiring teams, approved providers, and directors of Early Learning Centres, to support you in bringing your centre to a place everyone loves.
